| Parker’s Admissions Department assists patients and their families with the transition from a hospital to a skilled nursing and sub-acute setting. Admissions is staffed by experienced, masters degree-prepared social workers, registered nurses and admissions assistants who are well trained in the needs of patients and their family members.
Parker has a very successful Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Program that speeds recovery and often enables patients to quickly return home. As a result, there is a large volume of discharges; this means Parker can offer bed occupancy on a flexible schedule. Staff members understand the need for timely decisions for both hospital discharge planners and concerned families. Therefore, the admission process involves a minimum of paperwork whenever possible. Also, all insurance plans are verified quickly so that financial coverage is determined prior to admission. Admission nurses visit or communicate with each acute hospital promptly so that every patient’s special needs can be determined and met without delay.
