The residents who participated in the sixth annual Senior Olympics at the Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation may have raised some eyebrows: age and disability might have slowed their pace, but not their competitive spirit or joy of life!
From the parade of Olympiads and the lighting of the Olympic torch, to the games, including bowling, basketball and putting green golf, to the Olympic banner crafted by residents, Parker's Olympians performed with great pride. Parker's Senior Olympics is made possible by the support of Ben Dickstein, great grandson of Norma and Jack Parker.
