Parker Announces 2013 Kurshan Scholar

Parker is pleased to announce the 2013 recipient of its Raymond P. Kurshan Memorial Scholarship is Sarah Lewis. Ms. Lewis, a Master's candidate in the Health Administration program at Hofstra University, will be working to develop and implement research surveys and methods of data evaluation to better gauge and ultimately improve the effectiveness of the Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands caregiver respite program.

The Raymond P. Kurshan Memorial Scholarship is awarded by a multidisciplinary professional committee each summer to an undergraduate or graduate student studying medicine, dentistry, gerontology, law, social work, rehabilitation, or therapeutic recreation, who will have the opportunity to conduct a two-month, stipend-supported research project at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, with mentorship from members of Parker's medical and research teams.
