While the region was being blasted with one of the most dangerous blizzards of recent years, the residents and patients of Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation remained safe and comfortable throughout the snow blizzard of January 2nd and 3rd. Parker's inpatient programs and services continue to operate normally, including therapy sessions. The Queens-Long Island Renal Institute continued to provide dialysis treatments. As was the case during other weather emergencies, Parker's medical transportation division, Lakeville Ambulette Transportation, LLC, and its staff, is providing key assistance to patients and direct care staff. "Once again, the dedication of Parker's staff," said Michael N. Rosenblut, President and CEO, "combined with careful emergency planning and preparedness drills, to empower Parker to weather the storm, and demonstrate that "where excellence is the standard" is not just a promise.
