Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation maintains an on-site clinical and health services research center specifically for the study of emerging issues of aging.
In an environment encompassing more than 7,000 older adult patients annually, 527 long-term and sub-acute care beds, a wide range of health care services, including home care and hospice programs, and an on-site pharmacy, the Nerken Center offers the optimal setting for conducting research that will foster advances in basic science and methods of patient and resident care. These studies are primarily supported through grant funding of investigator-initiated research and pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials.
