Parker At Your Door: Making Preventive Care Part of Your Checkup

As flu season approaches, we encourage older adults to take an important step toward protecting their health. Annual influenza vaccination helps reduce the risk of serious illness, hospitalization, and complications from chronic conditions. For adults aged 65 and older, specially formulated flu vaccines offer enhanced protection, helping you stay healthy and active throughout the season.
Parker At Your Door (PAYD), a physician-led medical house-call service through Parker Jewish Institute, provides comprehensive medical care in the comfort of patients’ homes. During a scheduled checkup, patients and caregivers can discuss preventive care, ask questions about vaccinations and receive guidance based on their individual health needs.
Your PAYD provider can review your vaccination history, explain recommendations and help you understand when you may be due for a vaccine. These conversations are part of a broader approach to keeping patients healthy. A checkup also provides an opportunity to review medications, manage ongoing conditions and address changes or concerns about your health.
By combining education, personalized guidance and routine medical care, Parker At Your Door helps patients and caregivers take an active role in preventive health throughout the year.
