Mark Moglio, a U.S. Air Force veteran, was admitted to Parker on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, after suffering from a cerebral infarction that paralyzed the left nondominant side of his body. With no control over his left side and requiring a mechanical lift to get in and out of bed, Mark was overwhelmed by grief and despair. He feared he would never regain his independence. Mark’s negative outlook soon began to fade, thanks to the constant encouragement of his therapists, Tash and Rosie. Their blend of tough love and disciplined approach rekindled the resilience that had served him so well in his military days.
After several months of therapy, Mark regained strength on his left side and achieved significant strides in his recovery. He can now feed himself, get in and out of bed, reposition himself comfortably, and is making remarkable progress in walking independently again. Mark says that every day brings a lesson, and he has learned to appreciate the simple things in life that he once took for granted.
The Parker Jewish Institute is grateful to Mark Moglia for his service as an Air Force veteran, and honored that he entrusted us with his recovery. Mark’s perseverance, determination and strength has been truly inspiring.
