The Parker Jewish Institute hosted its annual Holi celebration on Monday, March 16, 2026. Also known as the Festival of Colors or Festival of Love, Holi is a Hindu holiday that honors the divine love between Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha.
At the Parker auditorium, patients and residents — whether Hindu or non-Hindu — joined together in prayer and celebration. Through their colorful and dynamic blend of song and dance, residents of Parker’s Indian Cultural Unit awakened the spirit of Holi, setting a high bar for the performers who followed. Aadhitya Prem and Navya Prasad of the Navatman School each performed a traditional storytelling dance, reflecting the richness of Indian culture. Henna Khanijou of the Kalakriti Academy of the Arts presented a lively classical Bollywood dance. Rachel Dalton, Parker’s Assistant Vice President of Business Development, and Mukta Kohli, Parker’s Cultural Liaison, surprised the audience with a vibrant vocal rendition of the hit song Bura Na Mano, Holi Hai. Holi remains a joyful and eagerly anticipated celebration for Parker residents, patients, families and staff alike.
