The Parker Jewish Institute Celebrates Skilled Nursing Care Week

The Parker Jewish Institute celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week from May 10-16, 2026. This annual recognition honors residents, team members and volunteers at skilled nursing care centers across the country. The American Health Care Association, creator of the National Skilled Nursing Care Week, selected this year’s theme, “Moments in Bloom.” The theme highlights the everyday acts of compassion and teamwork that grow into meaningful experiences.

In celebration, Parker hosted a full week of festivities. There were ice-cream treats on Monday, a henna station and flower giveaways on Tuesday, a catered lunch with picnic games on Wednesday, massages and refreshments on Thursday, and snow cones and popcorn on Friday. All week long, members were encouraged to wear “a color of the day” outfit, along with fun hats and whimsical socks. A raffle on Friday brought the week of events to a joyful close. The Parker Jewish Institute remains grateful for our community – our staff, volunteers, residents and families.
