Patients and residents at the Parker Jewish Institute celebrated Cinco de Mayo on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Widely enjoyed in the United States, the holiday marks Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Cinco de Mayo is now a multinational holiday that pays homage to Mexican culture. At Parker, residents and patients enjoyed a series of arts-and-crafts projects, followed by an energetic concert featuring popular Spanish music, which had everyone dancing.
