Parker Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

On Monday, March 17, 2025, Parker Jewish Institute’s Therapeutic Recreational Department hosted a series of activities to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, “the one day in which everyone and anyone can be Irish.”

The holiday, which celebrates Irish heritage and the patron saint of Ireland, began with a shamrock wreath-making arts-and-crafts project. Two musicians, Alex Alexandra and Julia Leigh, came to sing a few Irish tunes to a crowd of patients/residents, who were dressed in their green attire accessorized with festive hats and headbands. The celebration concluded with a tasty treat provided by Recreational Leader Sabrina, who demonstrated how to bake Irish soda bread.
