The Importance of Physical Therapy at Parker
Monday, September 28, 2026

The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation offers a dynamic and well-equipped Physical Therapy Department, helping patients work toward regaining strength and independence.
Physical therapy can play an important role in recovery from an illness, injury or major surgery. Dedicated physical therapists guide patients through exercises that help restore mobility, rebuild strength, manage pain and prevent future injuries. Each activity and exercise is designed with a specific goal: helping patients resume their daily lives. For example, an exercise in which patients lift a hula hoop overhead helps them practice the movement needed to dress themselves.
At Parker, physical therapists draw on their medical knowledge and creativity to help patients achieve their individual goals. Parker’s Physical Therapy Department is supported by highly trained professionals who find their work rewarding as they assist patients throughout their journey toward greater independence.
