The Parker Jewish Institute proudly celebrated America’s semiquincentennial on the Fourth of July. Despite an intense heatwave, Parker ensured the celebration was spectacular, filled with fun, Independence Day-themed activities. That morning, for example, patients and residents decorated cookies with red, white and blue icing and sprinkles. Later in the afternoon, patients, residents and family members gathered in the Parker Auditorium to celebrate with live music from DJ Angela. Singing and dancing together, they marked our nation's 250th anniversary in a spirit of patriotism and community.
