On Monday, May 5, 2025, Parker Jewish Institute’s patients/residents enjoyed a festive and musical Cinco de Mayo. The holiday recognizes Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire, at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Today, Cinco de Mayo is a widely celebrated holiday in the United States, where lively gatherings highlight the richness of Mexican American culture. At Parker, patients/residents of all nationalities, love this joyful day, with members of our community smiling—even getting up to dance!
