The Parker Jewish Institute celebrated Purim on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Purim is a festive holiday that celebrates the saving of the Jewish people from a plot against them in Persia. On Tuesday, the festivities included arts and crafts, and an afternoon party, with live music from Stu Markus. Patients and residents had fun wearing decorative crowns, singing along to Purim songs, and indulging on sweet snacks and hamantaschen cookies. While Purim is a Jewish holiday, it is one that brings joy to our entire community, and patients and residents of all backgrounds look forward to celebrating it.
