The Parker Jewish Institute Celebrates Rosh Hashanah

Monday, September 14, 2026

The Parker Jewish Institute observed Rosh Hashanah from sundown on Friday, September 11, 2026, until nightfall on Sunday, September 13, 2026. Ushering in the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah is the first of the High Holidays, leading up to Yom Kippur, Judaism’s holiest day of the year.

Parker held several Rosh Hashanah services, with Rabbi Wolf leading the first one on Friday, September 11, 2026. Each service kept with Torah traditions, including the sounding of the shofar. Patients, residents, families and friends celebrated the holiday together, enjoying such treats as apples dipped in honey, symbolizing the hope for a sweet, prosperous and fruitful new year.

From all of us at the Parker Jewish Institute, we wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year!
