This Veterans Day, the Parker Jewish Institute proudly honored the courage and dedication of the men and women who have served our nation. Home to 23 veterans, Parker celebrated their service with a series of activities led by our Therapeutic Recreation Department on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The day featured patriotic watercolor painting and reflecting on what it means to serve. Musical entertainer Phil Shimmel held a Veterans Day concert on Parker’s fifth floor, performing beloved American songs. Each veteran received a commemorative pin and gift bag in gratitude for their service. The Parker Jewish Institute shares heartfelt appreciation for our veterans and active-duty service members for protecting our freedom.
