Diwali Celebration at Parker

On Friday, October 21, 2022, The Indian Cultural Committee hosted an illuminating Diwali Celebration for its Parker Family. Dr. Kapadia and Dr. Raj Tolat commenced the religious celebration through the lighting of the Diya before the statue of Ganesh. After a brief, yet powerful sermon, on the meaning of Diwali, the audience enjoyed a lively dance performance from Siddhi Vaishnav, and a very talented ten-year-old dancer, Angel Shah. Throughout the week, Parker will provide residents with activities to celebrate the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
